Running, walking and pedaling toward a cure

More than 1,000 people, including HHC colleagues, came together in Avon for the ERRACE (Everyone Ride/Run Against Cancer Everyday) event, to cycle, run and walk to support cancer awareness and research.

Founded in 2010 by Allyson and Andy Caputo, MD, ERRACE honors Allyson’s legacy and supports cancer organizations, including the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, where she was a patient. Allyson (Lyon) Caputo died of cancer in 2012 at the age of 49. Since its inception 17 years ago, the event has raised more than $2 million. Proceeds benefit the cancer center’s Outreach Program.
