PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency

About the Program

The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program is based in Hartford Hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals in New England. Residents will learn how to care for a variety of high acuity patients including special populations such as mechanical circulatory support and solid organ transplant. Expertise in critical care pharmacotherapy will be developed through core rotations in dedicated ICUs for cardiology, medicine, surgery, and neurology. Teaching skills will be harnessed through opportunities in precepting pharmacy residents and students, and providing didactic lectures to various healthcare providers.  The program will prepare residents to practice as clinical specialists in critical care and serve as preceptors.
