Hometown: Tampa, Florida

School of Pharmacy: University of South Florida College of Pharmacy

Professional Interests: Opportunistic infections, precepting/mentoring, HIV management, and mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance.

Post PGY2 Plans: Obtaining BCIDP and AAHIVP board certifications, driving stewardship initiatives at an academic medical center, and serving as a mentor on research, CE presentations, and infectious diseases rotations! I hope to work as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases with antimicrobial stewardship and rounding ID consult teams. Lastly, I also hope to integrate research into my future plans.

What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? I initially liked this program due to the wide variety of rotation experiences offered along with the reputation Hartford Hospital holds within infectious diseases and research. Ultimately, the team was the selling point for me because it was evident that everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and encouraging. Their supportive demeanor gave me confidence that this program would provide ample opportunities for growth and development to become a successful clinical infectious diseases pharmacist.

What do you do in your free time? Being a good dog mom, painting, doing puzzles, going on long walks, and trying new restaurants.

What do you love most about Connecticut? Although this is my first year in Connecticut, I've loved the change in seasons and have enjoyed taking my dog, Honey, to the beautiful hiking trails nearby. I also love to attend the local sporting events and cheer on the Hartford YardGoats! There are also many parks and restaurants around the Hartford area which offer a great opportunity to spend time with friends and family.
